Creation Process:
-Concept sketch
-Made master model out of non-edible sculpting materials (used clay to sculpt various elements, integrated a tiny toy turtle, embedded real micro shells into a sugar “sand” landscape, etc.
-Cast the master design in food-safe silicone to make a master mold for the chocolate.
-Lined the mold with different chocolate colors in stages.
-Filled the interior with a sugar cookie and soft caramel layers.
-Encased the cookie in a final chocolate layer.
-Painted using Portaleo Paints (edible paints) and glazes.
